Vinpearl Nha Trang Golf Club

1. Overview

Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang is Vietnam's first island golf course, a Par 72 resort layout located on Hon Tre Island across the bay from Nha Trang. Neil Haworth of IMG Worldwide routed the course in 2011 to suit the peninsula's contours, and the entire island operates as part of the Vinpearl resort, giving guests instant access to accommodations, waterpark, and spa facilities.

The front nine rides the central valley with dramatic elevation changes, while the back nine frames the South China Sea with cliffside holes and a signature coastal stretch over Coral Bay that delivers both wind and visual intimidation. All tees and fairways are Paspalum, which stands up to salt spray, and sunset rounds offer photogenic skies over the ocean.

The clubhouse overlooks the bay with a restaurant, sauna, pro shop, a 300-meter driving range, and approach/bunker practice areas. Staying at Vinpearl unlocks dedicated speedboats and electric carts, making the island course ideal for extended golf retreats, and rich family packages combine the golf experience with waterpark, cable car, and dining options.

4. Course guide

4.1 Layout

The front nine follows the island's central valley, with big up-and-down par-4s and par-5s that make second-shot club selection critical. Wide Paspalum fairways give plenty of run, but missing them brings deep rough and hazards leading toward Coral Bay.

The back nine traces an ocean line along the South China Sea, and holes 12 (par 3) and 13–14 (par 5) swing in difficulty as the wind shifts. Finishing at sunset lets you soak in the infinity green framed by a crimson sky.
