1. Overview

Glory Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course across the gentle hills and lakes of Bac Giang’s Yen Dong Plateau, opening staggered member and public tee times from 2024 onward. Located about 1h20m from Hanoi, it is emerging as a northern resort base while pairing with nearby premium courses for 36-hole itineraries.

The Hill 9 loop winds over ridges with doglegs and pot bunker greens that demand precise tee shots and trajectory control, while Lake 9 features lake-hugging par-4s and par-5s where wind and run management are critical. The on-site clubhouse intertwines a driving range, short-game zone, and five-star villas & spa, enabling long-stay programs and corporate events.

  • Latest 18-hole resort course on Yen Dong highlands
  • Dual Hill/Lake loops requiring different strategic approaches

4. Course guide

Glory Golf Club’s 18 holes blend ridgelines and lake corridors, offering distinct challenges and vistas throughout the round.

  • Hill 9: Features consecutive uphill/downhill lies and cross-winds along the ridge, making tee-shot trajectory a priority.
  • Lake 9: Lakeside par-4s and par-5s require judicious decisions between safe targets and aggressive go-for-it plays.
  • Practice: A 280m driving range and dedicated short-game area make warm-ups easy.

4.1 Layout

  • The signature hole on Hill 9 is the par-4 4th, demanding a blind tee shot over the ridge and a well-placed fairway second to avoid bunkers.
  • The standout on Lake 9 is the par-5 16th, where a big drive toward the left lakeside gives reward but carries risk.

4.2 Play points

  • Panoramic Yen Dong plateau views from tee boxes and greens are a highlight.
  • The Hill-to-Lake routing gradually intensifies the challenge over 18 holes.
  • Carts are permitted on fairways, though certain holes use cart paths during the rainy season.
