1. Overview

Heron Lake Golf Course & Resort (formerly Đầm Vạc) is an 18-hole lake course unfolding along the Đầm Vạc waterway near Dai Lai Lake in Vinh Phuc. It is a steady northern favorite thanks to easy access—roughly 60–70 minutes from central Hanoi and about 30 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport.

Pacific Coast Design routed the layout to keep the land mostly flat while maximizing the impact of cross winds, water hazards, and tightly mowed green fronts. The middle par-4s are flanked by alternating water and rough, and the par-3s sit between hazards that require precise trajectory control, so these holes often determine scoring.

The clubhouse captures the lake view and pairs it with a waterside driving range, short-game area, and comparatively sensible green fee policy, which keeps it popular among both locals and visiting groups. It also hosts regional amateur tournaments and corporate events on a regular basis.
