1. Overview

Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf is the first Faldo Signature course crossing the inland hills en route to Ha Long, turning Silk Path Group’s resort expertise into a PGA-certified property. It sits about 120 km from Hanoi via CT01 and QL18, weaving along ridges and wetlands to keep the scenery shifting during every round.

Sir Nick Faldo routed the holes around natural granite outcrops and waterways to challenge shot-makers. Elevated tee shots feed into par-4s with wide landing areas, lakeside par-3s, and par-5s hemmed in by water hazards on both sides, while tiered greens and steep approach corridors maintain constant tension. The PGA Silk Path Academy features TrackMan-equipped indoor bays and a dedicated short-game zone, making it a strong winter training destination.

The course will expand toward 36 holes, yet the current 18-hole Phase 1 opened officially with a PGA Tour staff event and already marks itself as a competitive venue. Silk Path Group is simultaneously developing resort facilities to bind golf, lodging, and leisure into a single northern hub.

4.1 Layout & features

Phase 1 loops above ridges before dropping through valleys, embracing the elevation changes. Fairways begin wide but narrow after the second shot, and Faldo’s layered greens and deep bowl bunkers surround every approach.

• Black tees stretch 7,320 yards, and tournament setups dial up rough height and green speed to elite levels.
• Water-carry par-3s and par-5s open toward lakeside terraces, so wind reading is essential as some holes immediately drop from the tee.
• The PGA Silk Path Academy runs year-round with a 30-bay indoor/outdoor range, standalone putting studio, and physical training zone tailored to winter training camps.
