1. Overview

Van Lang Empire Golf Club is a landmark 36-hole international standard resort nestled inside Tam Nong Legendary Township, roughly two hours northwest of Hanoi. The first 18-hole phase opened in October 2024 under T&T Golf, with the remaining holes scheduled to finish soon after to complete the full championship complex.

Greg Norman led the routing while Flagstick Asia and Belt Collins handled construction and landscaping. The concept takes inspiration from the mythical duel between the mountain deity Sonty and the water spirit Tuythy, delivering a contrast between elevated ridge holes and low-lying wetlands, complemented by multi-tiered greens and strategic water hazards.

The club links with the Tam Nong Legendary mixed-use development to provide accommodation, resort-style facilities, an academy, and training spaces, positioning itself as a regional tourism hub backed by T&T Group's premium service standards.

4. Course guide

4.1 Layout

The opened Phase 1 holes jump between lowland lakes and ridge-top parkland, balancing bold shot-making with a need for precise approach work. Fairways stay generous, but greens sit behind undulating collects and steep-faced bunkers, so landing angles and spin control are key.

• Electric cart paths and LED lighting cover every hole, enabling twilight and after-dark nine-hole play.
• Greens feature triple tiers and expansive collection areas that dramatically shift difficulty with different pin locations.
• Practice facilities include a two-story 30-bay driving range, a dedicated short-game area (chipping/bunker), and a putting green.
